MEET Dr. Arango
"When I was a teenager and underwent orthodontic treatment, I thought the magical results achieved were so incredible that I wanted to be able to transform peoples’ lives by giving them a beautiful smile. Orthodontics gave me self-esteem and confidence; two attributes which have served me well throughout my life. I want the same for all my patients."
Dr. Arango is a graduate of the University of Iowa School of Dentistry and received his Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Iowa in 1994.
From 1988 to 1992, Dr. Arango served as a Captain in the US Air Force Dental Corps, where he completed a General Practice Residency and a three year overseas tour of duty in Zaragoza, Spain. While in Spain, Dr Arango was the Assistant Base Dental Surgeon and for his services, was awarded the United States Air Force Commendation Medal.
Dr. Arango is a member of The American Association of Orthodontics, The Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontics, The American Dental Association, The Colorado Dental Association and The Colorado Springs Dental Association. Dr. Arango is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Orthodontic Department at the University of Colorado Dental School, where he teaches the Damon System.
Dr. Arango uses the latest in orthodontic technology. He is one of the premier providers of the Damon System in Colorado. Also, Dr. Arango lectures internationally on the advantages of passive ligation orthodontics and how this system has revolutionized his practice of orthodontics.
In his leisure time he enjoys playing golf, traveling, motorcycle riding, scuba diving and taking outdoor/nature photography.
